    About SkyTrak

The SkyTrak brand of telescoping material handlers, or telehandlers, was owned by OmniQuip International until 1999, along with Lull telehandlers, Snorkel aerial work platforms, Scat Track skid steers and mini excavators, and Compact Technologies material-handling equipment. The companies became the property of Textron that year with its purchase of OmniQuip for USD $477 million. Although Textron would later sell the Scat Trak and Snorkel brands, it kept the SkyTrak and Lull brands until 2003 when JLG purchased the OmniQuip business unit from Textron for $100 million. (Oshkosh would later acquire JLG in 2006.) JLG, which produces a host of access and lift products, discontinued the Lull brand in 2015, but continues to manufacture telehandlers under both the JLG and SkyTrak brands.

    A Solid Reputation

SkyTrak telehandlers have enjoyed a reputation for reliability and a low total cost of ownership. JLG says SkyTrak is the No. 1-selling telehandler brand in North America and retains higher resale value than other brands. SkyTrak telehandlers feature enhanced boom-function speeds, an integrated tow hitch, an integrated arm rest and multifunction joystick control, and Tier 4 Final-compliant engines. They also come equipped with the Stabil-Trak rear-axle stabilisation system, introduced in 1994, which automatically transfers from a three-point to four-point stance for enhanced stability.

    SkyTrak Features

SkyTrak telehandlers range in lift capacity from 1,200 to 5,400 kilograms (2,700 to 12,000 pounds), with max lift heights from 4 to 16 metres (13 to 53 feet). The 10042, 10054, and 12054 models include outriggers for added stability. All SkyTrak telehandlers include such features as Firestone SGG telehandler tyres, a reverse-sensing system, a four-speed modulated transmission, three steering modes (two-wheel, four-wheel, and crab), suspension seating, remote diagnostics ability, and easy access to components for easier maintenance.
