Joseph Cyril Bamford founded JCB in 1945 in a garage in Uttoxeter, north of Birmingham, when he began building agricultural tipping trailers. Today, JCB is one of the world’s top three construction equipment manufacturers, with 12,000 employees and 2,000 dealer locations worldwide. Available in wheel and track loader configuration, Teleskid models have operating weights of up to 5,722 kg (12,615 lbs) and operating capacities of up to 1,676 kg (3,695 lbs).

JCB’s rough-terrain forklifts are well-suited for working on construction sites, docks, and other locations with challenging conditions. The largest model, the JCB 950, has a maximum lift capacity of 4,535 kg (10,000 lbs) and maximum lift height of up to 6.7 m (22 ft). The company also sells a range of cross-category, compact Teletruk forklifts. Introduced in 1997, Teletruk models offer maximum capacities of up to 3,493 kg (7,700 lbs) and maximum lift heights in excess of 4.3 m (14 ft).
