    About JCB

Joseph Cyril Bamford founded JCB in 1945 in a garage in Uttoxeter, north of Birmingham, when he began building agricultural tipping trailers. Today, JCB is one of the world’s top three construction equipment manufacturers, with 12,000 employees and 2,000 dealer locations worldwide. JCB introduced its first telehandler, the JCB 520, in 1977 and followed that up with the JCB 525 in 1979. Other major milestones for JCB include producing its 500,000th machine in 2004 and then its 1 millionth just nine years later. In 2017, the company introduced the JCB Access equipment range, which launched with nine electric scissor lift models.
