Fendt Cargo T740 Telehandler Wins Gold Medal At Agrotech Kielce
Fendt’s Cargo T740 telehandler picked up a gold medal at the Agrotech Kielce agricultural trade show last month in the Polish city of Kielce. Held annually in March, Agrotech Kielce is the largest ag technology show in Poland, drawing nearly 70,000 visitors. The 2023 show marked the 28th anniversary of Agrotech Kielce and brough 450 companies from 15 countries to exhibit their products at the Targi Kielce exhibition centre from 17 to 19 March.
Each year, the Agrotech Kielce jury awards medals to the best machines on display at the show. Fendt’s Cargo T740 won a gold medal at this year’s show after the telehandler impressed the jury with "design solutions improving operator working conditions and operating safety."
The Star Of The Show
“The Fendt Cargo T740 is particularly interesting for farmers and contractors in Poland due to its compact dimensions and high manoeuvrability, and demand among customers is high," says Fendt Poland Business Manager Tomasz Szczesny. “The interest in the new product is also confirmed by many conversations conducted during the exhibition. Our sales team answered many questions related to the machine. Questions were asked not only by farmers, but also by companies dealing in agricultural crops.”
The agile telehandler has a working height of up to 7.7 metres (25.25 feet) and a viewing height of over 4 m (13 ft). The machine’s high breakaway force of 65 kilonewtons (14,600 pounds-force) and precise control combined with its height enable it to perform a wide range of tasks, including straw handling, transport, feeding, and silo removal. The telehandler has a hydraulic flow capacity of 170 litres per minute (45 gallons per minute) for sensitive control of hydraulic functions such as the lifting arm and the cab. The Stage V-compliant 4-cylinder Cummins engine provides 136 horsepower (100 kilowatts). The maximum load capacity is 4 tonnes (8,818 pounds).
Operate In Comfort
The Cargo T740 is equipped with the new-generation Fendt TopViewCab lift cage with vibration damping for operating in comfort. The continuous curved front window from the roof to the floor and the continuous side window give operators a clear view of the work site and attachments, as well as the boom. An integrated roller blind offers protection from direct sunlight. To the right of the driver’s seat is the oscillating control console with coloured buttons that correspond to Fendt logic to help users quickly find what they need. Operators can also save the cab position for applications such as cabin height for stall entrances for quick recall. A heater for the rear window comes as standard to ensure clear visibility on cold days, and the cab is air-conditioned for warm weather.
