Fendt Introduces New T740 Telescopic Loader With 4-Tonne Lift Capacity

Fendt recently announced the new Fendt Cargo T740 telescopic loader, which has a lifting height of 7.7 metres (25 feet) and a lifting capacity of 4 tonnes (4.4 U.S. tons). The new telescopic loader is equipped with the latest features, including Fendt TopViewCab lift cage with vibration damping. The cab can be raised to an eye level of 4.1 m (13.5 ft) for a direct view in trailers or feeder mixers during loading.

Inside The Cab

The continuous curved front window, reaching from the floor to the roof, provides a view so unobstructed that not even a dashboard blocks the operator’s outlook on the jobsite. An integrated roller blind protects against direct sunlight when needed and the continuous side window provides visibility of the attachments, the boom, and the surroundings. The cab has an oscillating control console on the right side of the driver’s seat with colour-coded buttons and an ergonomic joystick for easy operation, and users can store a frequently used cab position in memory for quick recall. The Fendt Cargo T740 has a heated rear window to maintain visibility in any weather and air conditioning to keep the cab comfortable in the summer. Fendt built in seven storage spots throughout the cab.

Power & Agility

The T740 has a four-cylinder Cummins engine with 136 horsepower (100 kilowatts) that complies with Stage V regulations through the use of a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC), a diesel particulate filter (DPF), and selective catalytic reduction (SCR). The machine’s lifting arm is centred by the honeycomb shape of the boom and is mounted centrally on the vehicle for optimal power transmission. In addition to its 4-t load capacity, the Fendt Cargo T740 has a turning radius of 4.15 m (13.6 ft). The telescopic handler’s Z kinematics allow it to achieve a breakaway force of 65 kilonewtons (14,600 pounds-force) on the bucket and its efficient working hydraulics have a flow capacity of 170 liters (45 gallons) per minute to allow sensitive control of all hydraulic functions.
