    About Xtreme Manufacturing

Based in Henderson, Nevada, USA, Xtreme Manufacturing was founded in 2003, but the company’s origins stretch back another four years to 1999, when Don Ahern had trouble finding a telehandler that met his fleet’s needs and decided to produce a more reliable product. In 1999, Ahern purchased Western Attachments Company, a forklift manufacturer in Oregon that primarily built vertical mast forklifts for use on rough terrain. After creating the Fresno Engineering Group to completely redesign Western’s product lineup, Western Attachments Company eventually changed its name to Xtreme Manufacturing.

    Xtreme Manufacturing XR1247- B Telehandler

    Building A Foundation

The Fresno Engineering Group helped Xtreme Manufacturing develop its first telehandler, the XRM945, in 2003. The machine had a 4,080-kilogram (9,000-pound) maximum lift capacity and a 13.7-metre (45-foot) reach. After moving from Oregon to Las Vegas in 2003 (with the Fresno Engineering Group in tow), Xtreme spent the next two years designing five new telehandler models and extending the reach of two previous models. In 2008, Xtreme outgrew its manufacturing facility and opened a new one in Las Vegas.

The next year, Xtreme introduced five new telehandlers to expand its lineup to 10 models that ranged in maximum operating weight from 2,700 to 13,600 kg (6,000 to 30,000 lbs) and had a maximum reach of 20.4 m (67 ft). In 2011 and 2012, the company added two more telehandlers, increased the weight capacity of four previous models, and reached new lift capacity heights with the XR2034 (9,070 kg/20,000 lbs) and XR4030 (18,140 kg/40,000 lbs).

In 2013, Xtreme Manufacturing became a majority stakeholder in Snorkel, an aerial work platforms maker with locations in the United Kingdom, United States, and New Zealand. In 2014, Xtreme released the XR7038, a telehandler with the largest maximum operating capacity in North America: 52,160 kg (115,000 lbs). In 2015 and 2016, customer demand led Xtreme to expand again, this time moving into new headquarters in Henderson, which it shares with Snorkel.

    More Than Telehandlers

In 2010, Xtreme moved beyond telehandlers to produce new products, including the Xtreme Cube, a modular building block used to create custom office spaces, restrooms, homes, and more. Featuring a durable steel frame, the Xtreme Cube is available in 3- and 3.6-m (10- and 12-ft) heights and 2.4-, 3-, and 3.6-m lengths. Xtreme also offers E-Z Loader truck beds for carrying forklifts and other machinery. The EZ12 model, for example, has a 5,440-kg (12,000-lb) bed capacity and a 2,270-kg (5,000-lb) towing capacity, and is 6.5 m (21.3 ft) long. Rounding out Xtreme’s product portfolio is the XLR5010S loading ramp, which has a 22,700-kg (50,000-lb) maximum weight capacity.
